New Tweetdeck Puts Twitter On Crack – Adds YouTube and Flickr

(TC) There remains an ongoing desktop Twitter application war. Traditionally Tweetdeck and Seesmic have been at loggerheads for the lion share, although Tweetdeck has remained in the lead so far. Increasingly it appears that Seesmic is heading towards trying to be a much more mainstream application, for anyone on any platform, from celebs to your non-tech friends. But for power Twitter users, Tweetdeck seems to be go-to app so far. Of course, all that can change, but that seems to be the landscape at the moment.

Peyton Manning storms off Super Bowl field. Is he a poor sport?

Peyton Manning(notes) didn't shake hands with New Orleans Saints players after his Indianapolis Colts lost 31-17 in Super Bowl XLIV. Apparently some think this is a sign of poor sportsmanship from the NFL's greatest player. It's not.

Walking off the field without congratulating Drew Brees(notes) may go against our misguided notion of what sportsmanship should be, but it wasn't at all disrespectful or bitter. It shows how much Peyton Manning wanted to win the game. And who can argue about that?

Google Lowers Nexus One ETF to $150

Google recently indicated via its support forums that it has lowered the early termination fee for its Nexus One smartphone from $350 to $150. Google had originally instituted its own "equipment recovery fee" of $350 for those who cancel their T-Mobile contracts within the first 120 days. Even the new, lower fee of $150 is still in addition to the standard early termination fee of $200 being charged by T-Mobile for those who cancel their contracts early. Google, T-Mobile and the other major wireless network operators were recently queried by the FCC about their ETF policies.

Man Sues Starbucks Over Tattoos

He'd worked in the Starbucks in Sherman, Texas -- an hour due north of Dallas -- for seven years, and shift-manager Benjamin Amos wouldn't have been blamed for thinking that his tattoos were a non-issue. It hadn't just been the cultural mainstreaming of tattoos in the past decade; the popularity of the A&E television series Inked in 2005 and 2006 was just one indication; but he was hired with the tattoos firmly in place and he says he'd worked, covering them per dress code, for so many years.

Cops Nab Criminal Via Facebook

When will criminals learn that using Facebook while they're on the lam is a terrible idea? If you really want to stay out of jail, those friend requests, status updates and application invites can probably wait. But once again, a fugitive wasn't able to resist the temptation of the social-networking site, and he's paying for it.

Ohio strip club hosts 'Lap dances for Haiti'

A strip club in Ohio has raised $1,000 for Haitian earthquake relief during what was billed as "Lap dances for Haiti."

Marilyn's on Monroe in Toledo donated the $10 cover charges collected Saturday to ISOH (I-S-O-H)/IMPACT, an organization based in suburban Perrysburg that provides food and clothing for Haiti.

Marilyn's general manager Kenny Soprano says his establishment had been looking for a reason to hold a charity fundraiser even before the quake, as a way to improve its image. He says you don't hear much about strip clubs giving back to the community.

Murray will turn himself in at a courthouse at 1:30 p.m. (4:30 p.m. ET), they said in a statement.
