This Labor Day Weekend, rapper/actor and now budding philanthropist, Ludacris, will be giving a few lucky folks in Atlanta a new ride. That's right. You read that correctly. He's giving them a new car. Well... actually the cars aren't exactly new, but they will be to the ones who are are lucky enough to get them.
For the last few years, Ludacris has always done something special for the community in Atlanta for the Labor Day holiday, which has now been affectionately dubbed 'Luda Day Weekend'. The weekend is usually kicked off with a party of some sort on Friday, and on Saturday Ludacris does something special in the community. This year, he's going beyond what any other celeb has done here in Atlanta and he's giving away 20 used vehicles. To make this wonderful event happen, Luda and his nonprofit organization, The Ludacris Foundation, have partnered with Nissan South to give away the vehicles along with giving each winner a month's supply of free gas. It don't get no better than that these days folks. A FREE car and FREE gas??? As expected there are some noted specifications for this giveaway: Each vehicle has gone through the standard Georgia emmissions testing. The cars will also have a standard 30 day powertain warranty as well. The winners will be responsible for the tags, taxes, registration, on the vehicles as well.
Both The Ludacris Foundation and LudaCare are both charity organizations started by the Atlanta rapper in efforts to help those families in need and to also share how God has blessed him enough to be in a position such as this to help as well.
The "Stars for Cars LudaDay Weekend" will be held on Sunday Sept 6, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Nissan South. In order for eager candidates to get the opportunity to register to win, they must have signed up by Thursday Sept 3. Each participant must submit their name, address, and all pertinent contact information. They must also not be in possession of a vehicle already, have a valid Georgia drivers license and they must submit a one-page essay on why they believe that they deserve the car.
No good deed goes unturned! Kudos to you Luda for doing good in the hood!
