Busta Rhymes Believes "The Chemo" Will Work

It's been a little less than a year since the release of "Back on My B.S.", which was the eighth album to come out of the Flip Mode Squad headliner Busta Rhymes. This time around, he wants to change the way the music industry has been dying off by releasing what he's dubbed his "The Chemo"... since he believes that the music industry of today is "dying like cancer is killing it."

When asked by Billboard.com why he named the album as such, he stated, "I called the album 'The Chemo' because it seems like the industry and music overall is dying slowly," Busta stated, and speaking of the Flipmode/Universal Motown project, slated for an early 2010 release. "The cancer that's stricken the business is killing the music, not only from a business standpoint, but also the value of the content and the creativity behind it. I just want to start the first stage of chemotherapy treatment that needs to take place and hopefully inspire others to do their part and contribute to different stages of the cure."

It's all too apparent to Busta that even though there are certain aspects of the game that are slowly dying, he knows that there still are artists out there that stay consistently putting out smash hit albums suck as  "Jay-Z , Lil Wayne, and others like Jadakiss, Drake and Trey Songz.

Even though "Back on My B.S." only sold 135,000 units domestically, it debuted on the Billboard 200 at No. 5 and reached No. 2 on the Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Recently, Busta signed a deal with the Snapple company to endorse their new Venom Energy drinks. This opportunity hopes to prove pretty beneficial for Busta especially through the national advertising, branding and promo ops.

As of yet, there has not been a single picked out for "The Chemo", but you can expect cameo appearances by Chris Brown, Trey Songz, Wyclef Jean, Sean "Diddy" Combs and Diddy's new girl group Dirty Money which includes former Danity Kane member Dawn Richards.

Expect new music from "The Chemo" to hit the the airwaves sometime next month.
