Torii Hunter says black Latino players are 'impostors

Los Angeles Angels center fielder Torii Hunter insists he meant no harm toward Latino players when he recently referred to them as "impostors" while discussing the number of African-Americans in the major leagues.

Hunter's original comments were made two weeks ago in one of a series of USA Today roundtables about baseball and published in Wednesday's editions.

We have learned Stuckey was taken to the Cleveland Clinic for observation. He is breathing on his own.

Julius Peppers, Chicago Bears finalize six-year deal

The Bears and Julius Peppers finalized a six-year deal to bring the top free agent in 2010 to Chicago, according to a source.

Peppers was looking for at least $12 million a year in the early part of the contract. The agreement could be worth $40 million over the first three years.
