ABC News' Charles Gibson signs off after 34 years

Charles Gibson has signed off for the last time from the ABC News anchor desk. He brings 34 years at the network to a close with Friday's edition of "ABC World News." He called the job he's leaving "a labor of love." Since joining ABC in 1975, he served two stints as co-host of "Good Morning America," was an anchor of the "Primetime" newsmagazine, and tackled numerous assignments as a correspondent. He had anchored "World News" since 2006. The 66-year-old Gibson announced his intention to retire several months ago.

Chris Brown Gets His Turn on ABC's 20/20

Just three weeks after ex-girlfriend Rihanna had her say on ABC with host Diane Sawyer, the network announces that Chris Brown will do a stint on its newmagazine "20/20".

ABC anchorwoman Robin Roberts will conduct the "in depth" interview which has already been taped as of last weekend, but will air nationwide on Dec.

       Diane Sawyer's exclusive interview with the singer drew 8.2 million viewers among adults 18-49. It also drew the show's best 18-34 number in three years.

Rihanna is interviewed exclusively by Diane Sawyer in where she reveals openly for the first time details about her relationship with then boyfriend Chris Brown.

 

"He was definitely my first big love," she told Sawyer.

 

The interview is scheduled to air on "Good Morning America" on Thursday, Nov. 5 and Friday, Nov. 6 at 7 a.m. ET, and on "20/20" on Friday, Nov. 6 at 10 p.m. ET.
