DEA seeks Ebonics experts to help with cases

Ap Reports – Federal agents are seeking to hire Ebonics translators to help interpret wiretapped conversations involving targets of undercover drug investigations. The Drug Enforcement Administration recently sent memos asking companies that provide translation services to help it find nine translators in the Southeast who are fluent in Ebonics, Special Agent Michael Sanders said Monday.

Thousands Arrested in Massive Federal Drug Sweep

More than 2,200 people were arrested, a top Mexican cartel leader was captured, 75 tons of narcotics were seized, and $154 million in cash was confiscated in what's being called the largest federal drug sweep targeting illegal trafficking from south of the border.
