Holiday Inn to test smartphone as hotel-room key (Android)

Holiday Inn is ready to begin testing new technology that will allow guests to use their smartphone as a room key. A spokesman for parent InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), confirmed guests using the technology would be able to skip the front desk, and head right to their guestrooms. "You would hold your cell phone up to the door lock and a code would unlock it," the spokesman explained.

NFL Changes Overtime Rules In Playoff Games

The NFL passed a form of modified sudden death overtime Tuesday at the league meetings in Orlando. Owners passed the vote by a count of 28-4. The changes will apply only to the postseason, though the league may reconsider adapting them for the 2010 regular season in May.
