Yesterday the world got a small taste of the video from beautiful Lana Del Rey for her new video, National Anthem, which features NYC’s pretty muthf*cka, A$AP Rocky, as her companion.
In the video Del Rey starts off by channeling her inner Marilyn Monroe with her rendition of Monroe’s “Happy Birthday” which she sang to John F. Kennedy on his birthday 50 years ago. Del Rey also takes on the persona of Jacqueline Kennedy and A$AP Rocky plays the role of the beloved former U.S. President John F. Kennedy.
Although the pairing seems a bit odd, they actually are great together not only in the music styling, but they seem to be in tune with each other in this video.
It’s no secret that these two have great chemistry. Each of them have previously expressed a fondness for one another and they’ve even collaborated on a track by A$AP Rocky titled, Ridin, which was initially going to be on his Kickdrums Mixtape, but has since been pulled and is speculated to be released on A$AP’s upcoming LP, LongLiveA$AP.
