Kendrick Lamar Causing Controversy with a New Music Video and Highly Anticipated Album Release

Kendrick Lamar has always been one of the hip-hop world’s most dominantly defined artist. Starting off at a young age trying to get into the music scene being from Compton, CA didn’t come at the drop of the dime for him. 2012 was the year that really set it off for Kendrick Lamar with his album, good kid, m.A.A.d city, featuring 3  top 40 singles “Swimming Pools (Drank)“, “Bitch, Don’t Kill My Vibe“, and “Poetic Justice“. It quickly arose at number two on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart and became platinum.

Over the years Kendrick Lamar’s ridged, un-cookie cutter like lyrics has always had the media and peers snickering. Some women also believe that his shallowness shined thru and is rather “patronizing” as a female twitter user described.

On the other hand, his latest  Mike Will Made It-produced track. “Humble” released a  video directed by Dave Myers and The Little Homies,   this past Thursday. Getting a lot of music critics antsy for more and to see how it all fits into with his highly anticipated upcoming album which is still untitled. Rumors have said for its release date to be April 7th.

Causing controversy seems to come naturally for Kendrick Lamar. Due to his, I’ll tell it like it is nature.

Take a look for yourself and watch the video below. What do you think he is trying to say? Besides the obvious in his loud lyrics. Are you impatient for more as well?
