Xbox One X: Most Powerful Console Ever Made?

Microsoft recently unveiled the newest member of the Xbox One family: the Xbox One X. It was previously announced as “Project Scorpio” and was first teased during the E3 Expo last year, but the first appearance of its powerful hardware was just a few months ago. However, during the E3 Expo 2017, Microsoft has revealed the most awaited date of the release of the Xbox One X.

Xbox One X Release Date

This latest addition to the Xbox One family is even more powerful compared to Sony’s PlayStation 4 Pro. The Xbox One X can run certain games at about 4K or 60 frames per second. Microsoft has also announced that the long-awaited Xbox One X will be made available to the public on the 9th of November. The console’s release price was also revealed during the E3 expo, and the Xbox One X will be available for $499 or €449.

Xbox One X Features

The Xbox One X is a little boxy black console and it looks similar to the Xbox One. However, the top portion of the latest console from Microsoft now hangs over a much slimmer base and looks like the Xbox One S but with a more streamlined design. Microsoft has also claimed that the Xbox One X has the smallest console designed ever.

Below the hood of the Xbox One X is a custom 8-core AMD CPU that is clocked at 2.3GHz, a 6-teraflop GPU that is clocked at 1.17GHz, and a 12 GB or GDDR5 video RAM. It is entirely capable of 4K/HDR gaming along with Dolby Atmos support, which is something that is already included in the Xbox One. However, if you don’t have a 4K TV, it can also make the games better even in 1080p because of its supersampling and additional horsepower.

Among the many features of the Xbox One X is a 4K Blu-ray drive, which is not supported by the PlayStation 4 Pro. All the accessories for the Xbox One will also be compatible with this newest version, so there is no need to purchase new accessories or rebuild your gaming library.

The Xbox One X is the culmination of Microsoft’s vision to bring virtual reality into closed doors. While Microsoft didn’t say anything about how virtual reality would play in the Xbox One X during the E3 expo, the company mentioned last year that they were thinking about virtual reality while the console was in development.

New Games with Xbox One X

Releasing a new console wouldn’t be such a big deal if it doesn’t come with new games. Alongside the launching of the Xbox One X, Microsoft revealed that they would also launch Forza Motorsport 7, which will also be running at about 4K/60 frames per second. Forza Motorsport 7 will feature about 700 hundred cars, which is a new record for vehicle options in racing video games, and even more realistic effects. The games for the Xbox One X will still run on the Xbox One and the One S although they can have significant performance delay and visual effects that aren’t as impressive.

Microsoft has also revealed that Battlegrounds by PlayerUnknown will also be released for the Xbox One X exclusively during this year. With its incredible features and new games, the Xbox One X is shaping up to be one of the most coveted consoles on the market today.
