Lenovo IdeaPad 300 Review
If you are looking for a laptop that is both solid and easy on your pocket, then your search should stop at the Lenovo IdeaPad 330-15ARR. It is ideal for the people who want to work on the go.
The 15-inch laptop from the Chinese PC maker, Lenovo, comes equipped with AMD Ryzen 3 2200U processor, unlike other budget-friendly laptops in the same price range. But these two aren’t the only features of IdeaPad 330.

Build and design
The device is made of plastic, but it gets its metallic look from the matte-like finish. The laptop at 2.1 kilograms is heavy which some may find difficult to carry.
A plastic hinge covers the width of the display while a thick black bezel runs around its sides. Due to the thick plastic hinge, the laptop can folds back to 180 degrees, a useful feature when working on a bed.
Trackpad and Keyboard
This windows laptop comes with multi-touch trackpad present below the keyboard. The trackpad, which is of the same color as the surface around it, supports multi-touch gestures.
About the keyboard, IdeaPad 330 comes in options of a 6-row keyboard or a numeric keypad. It also offers an option of a backlit keyboard that can help you work in dim light.
Sound Performance
The IdeaPad 330 is powered by two 2W speakers. The speaker is good for a small room but does not work well in the outdoors or a crowded area. The windows laptop also comes with a 3.5mm combo audio jack, which you can use to connect a headphone.
Ports
Talking about the ports, IdeaPad comes with one USB Type-C 3.1 port and two USB 3.0. There is an HDMI port through which you can connect an external display. Besides, there is a charging port, an ethernet port and a Kensington lock port that allows you to lock your laptop with your table.
Battery
Ideapad 300 has a battery life of up to 6 hours, as per Lenovo. It also has three variants for the battery – a 30WH, 35WH, and 45WH. A 30Wh battery comes with a life of 5.5 hours while 35Wh has a battery life of 6 hours.
The Chinese PC maker has also added Rapid Charge capability in which you will get a 90W charger with your device that will provide you a 2 hours battery by simply charging for 15 minutes.
Processor
The windows laptop is powered with an 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8550U, a mobile processor, and is coupled with 8GB RAM. There is also an option of adding more.
For this, you will have to replace the 4GB DIMM stick with a high-capacity RAM. The other variants of the laptop come with 16GB RAM and have the option to further better the performance by adding a 16GB Intel Optane memory.
