JBL Link View- The Smart Screen With Excellent Performance And Sound Clarity

Google Smart Display is only a few months old, but its popularity spread like a wildfire. Lenovo released its first smart display based device in July 2018 which was a great hit. Then came the Google Home Hub which is a compact device for your office as well as home.

A few days back JBL also launched the JBL Link View with some advanced feature that is absent in the above two devices. JBL link view comes with a relatively small display in comparison to the 10 inch Lenovo Smart Display. However, it comes with powerful speakers for enhanced user experience.

As you all know most of the Smart Screens look similar and come with the same features, JBL tried to make it’s Link View a bit different and better. JBL Link View is surely small but is more powerful in terms of performance and the sound clarity is very rich. Link View has two 511mm full range drivers on both sides of its screen.

The music output of the device is clear and has powerful bass. This makes listening to songs and podcasts, watching videos, etc. really enjoyable.

JBL Link View

Now talking about the display of the device the Link video comes equipped with an 8 inches HD screen with bright and lively colors. The resolution is also low in comparison to Lenovo smart view, but the screen is bright enough to read the text and other information. You can enjoy high-quality videos as well on this JBL device.

The brightness of the screen also adjusts automatically thanks to the ambient light sensor.

Interface

The interface of link view is not at all different from other smart screen devices. It has the same easy to use interface which you can understand and use from the very first time. You can also use Google Assistant for quick and fast results based on voice commands. Just say Ok Google or Hey Google to trigger the voice assistant.

Build quality and Design

The build quality of the JBL Link View is pretty durable. It is made up of high-quality plastic. It has sound corners which makes it looks great. But the only problem with the design is that it looks quite bulky when placed on a small desk. Other smart devices listed above are more good looking and sleek. However, it fits well on a larger space like your office or study table.

Pros

  • Above average display
  • Exceptional sound quality
  • Google Assistant with visual responses
  • Chromecast functionality works well

Cons

  • No adjustable EQ settings
  • Few missing Google Home features
  • Lack of Netflix support
  • Only supports Google Duo

JBL is known for its sound clarity and you will experience the great JBL sound in the Link View as well. So if you are looking for a decent Smart screen with clear sound for your home or office use you can surely go for the latest Link View. Link view is currently available for $250 which is a reasonable price for this amazing device.
